The Human Resources is a Training Centre of the University of Lagos with the mandate to develop and offer part-time Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced Diploma and other specialized programmes aimed at capacity building, with strong linkages to professional bodies, for the benefit of the target groups in the public and private sectors of the economy.

The HRDC, UNILAG programmes attract employees from major organizations within and outside the country and the Centre has impacted in areas relevant to key employment sectors. Admission Requirements:-

1. DIPLOMA IN SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT AND ADMINISTRATION (SDA) FULL-TIME
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
 Five (5) credit passes in WASCE, SSSCE, G.C.E. NECO O/Level subjects or its equivalent which must
include ENGLISH LANGUAGE & MATHEMATICS and passes in three (3) other subjects at not
more than two (2) sittings.
 Grade 11 Teachers’ Certificate with five (5) subjects or its equivalent including English Language
at Merit level.
 The following categories of applicants are eligible for consideration, and will be given preference
in the following order:
 Certificate in Social Work and/or Community Development from any approved institution
recognized by the Senate of the University of Lagos.
 Untrained serving Social Work and/or Community Development Workers who have requisite
academic qualifications.
 Mature candidates (30 years and over) with experience and qualification in other professions such
as Nursing, Youth Leadership, Prison Service, Police Force and Armed Forces etc. who may not
have all requisite academic qualifications, but whose organizations stand to benefit from the
programme.
NOTE: Candidates who wish to proceed to B.Sc. Social Work at the completion of the programme
must have credit passes in five (5) G.C.E. O/L subjects or its equivalent at not more than one sitting,
